Microsoft Vouchers Can Help You Increase Student Achievement!
Redeem Your Vouchers for Riverdeep's
Destination Math and Destination Reading!
A new source of funding for educational hardware and software is here now for hundreds of Florida public schools! This money is a result of the consumer class action law suit against the Microsoft Corporation. The consumer claim period is completed and under the terms of the settlement, qualifying Florida schools are eligible for over $80 million in vouchers for educational hardware and software.
The Florida Department of Education has posted a Microsoft Antitrust Litigation web page that is easily accessed by eductors at http://fmal.info/. The site explains the settlement, eligible products, eligible districts, and reimbursement procedures.
Eligible schools are those that had 50% or more of their students on Free or Reduced Price Lunch during the 2004-2005 school year. A link to the list of Eligible Schools by Districts is provided on the FL Microsoft web page.
One half of the vouchers are General Purpose Vouchers that can be used for hardware and for any non-custom software sold by any software publisher that will run on the hardware. Destination Math is on the Product Eligibility List for these Vouchers.
